Ever since Trisha announced her Bollywood plans and her dream debut with Akshay Kumar, rumours have been afloat about how she’s trying to wiggle out of her Telugu/Tamil films.
Trisha however, claims she has no issues with the producer, actor or director of any of the Telugu/Tamil films she’s working in. She says she’s always honoured all her film commitments. “Despite being busy, we are trying to adjust dates for the film. If things don’t work out, we’ll part ways professionally. Southern films will remain my mainstay,” she clarifies. She also says that she will wrap up her Telugu films with Gopichand and Venkatesh “in a couple a months” so that she has enough time to prepare for her B’ wood debut in which she has a “meaty role”.
“I think it would be an ideal launchpad for me,” says the actress, who feels filmmaker Priyadarsan would put to good use her “looks” and “talent” in this comic caper. On matching comic timing with Akshay, she says, “I’ll give it my best shot. I’d also like to clarify that the film is not just a comedy, there are other shades to it as well.”

Clarifying about reports that stated Trisha might not be part of Vetrimaran’s ‘Aadukalam’, Trisha has openly stated that she isn’t bidding adieu to South Indian films for a Bollywood career.
Trisha, who is currently playing a challenging role in Vetrimaran’s ‘Aadukalam’, has received three interesting Bollywood films, signing an agreement with Akshay Kumar. It was reported recently that the actress, who is also working on a film with Venkatesh in Telugu, has a tough time juggling dates, because of which she may opt out of Vetrimaran’s ‘Aadukalam’. The film, which has Dhanush in the lead, has its second schedule just on track in Madurai.
But Trisha as now quashed all reports, stating that she always has a softspot for South Indian films, which are her mainstay. “I will always continue doing films here as I’m not looking at making Bollywood my ultimate destination.”
The actress, who has only one schedule of work remaining for Gautham Menon’s ‘Vinnaithaandi Varuvaaya’, has not signed any other South Indian project.

Trisha is following the footsteps of Asin, Genelia D’Souza and Shriya Saran into Bollywood. She is is all set to make her Bollywood debut opposite Akshay Kumar and says she shouldn’t be seen as competing with Pretty Asin.
“Some people are spreading rumours that my Hindi film effort is to keep Asin in check. They want to portray me as her competitor. I neither wanted frantically to do a Hindi film nor do I treat Asin as my competitor. All I’m concerned about is the films I’m starring in; I hardly have the time to check and monitor others’ career,” said Trisha.

Whatever it is, Asin has proved her luck in Bollywood, she is the Filmfare’s Best Sensational Debut (Female) for the film Ghajini, she is becoming favorite bollywood dream girl. Trisha is far behind.

The big buzz is that Trisha has opted out of Dhanush’s Vetrimaran directed Adukalam.
Remember that Trisha signed this coveted role last February and has shot for four days during the second schedule of the film in Madurai.
However we understand that after signing Priyadarshan’s Akshay Kumar film in Hindi, Trisha will not have enough dates to do the Dhanush project as she will have to complete her current assignments and will be shooting continuously abroad for her Telugu film with Gopichand in Sydney followed by a 20 days schedule of Vinnaithandi Varuvaaya in New York.
After completing the Gautham Menon film, Trisha will go to Europe for a month-long schedule of Namo Venkatesa opposite Venkatesh in Telugu. And according to grapevine, the actress has given bulk dates of over 2 months for her Hindi film, which will be her big ticket to Bollywood.
Adukalam is not a pucca commercial film and will take time to complete. When contacted, no one was willing to comment but the buzz is that Vetrimaran has already started looking for a new face to replace Trisha. Watch this space for more.

Ever since she signed up Priyadarsan’s Khatta Meeta with Akshay Kumar, the buzz is she is putting Tamil films on the backburner. As of now, she has two live projects in Tamil — Aadukalam with Dhanush, directed by Vetrimaran and Gautham Menon’s Vinnaithandi Varuvaya, in which she is paired with Silambarassan. Her Gautham Menon project with newcomers, Chennayil Oru Mazhaikalam, has been shelved for all practical purposes.
Now, the latest in the grapevine is that the makers of Aadukalam and Trisha are trying to work out a settlement, by which she will be free to walk out of the film. Recently, the makers of the film did not use her call sheet and the actress was forced to cool her heels at a Madurai hotel doing nothing for four days, while other scenes were canned! This upset her as she thought they were trying to be one up on her.
However, sources close to the unit claim that Trisha has become “too big for her boots ever since she signed up the Akshay Kumar project.” She was not too keen to do a “realistic film in the heat and dust of Madurai”, and the film may take a long time to be completed, which will upset her carefully laid out Bollywood plans.
The actress is currently shooting in Sydney with Gopichand for a Telugu film and from there, she will head to New York to complete the last schedule of Gautham Menon’s Vinnaithandi Varuvaya with her “good friend” Simbu.
After she finishes her New York assignment, the pretty actress is to fly to Europe for a month-long schedule of Namo Venkatesa opposite her lucky Aadavari Mataluku Ardhale Verule hero Venkatesh in Telugu. She is reported to have been paid a bomb for the film, which in all probability will be her last Telugu release.
From October, Trisha is likely to relocate herself to Mumbai as she has given bulk dates to Priyadarsan.
The buzz is that the actress is going for a total make over to join the Bollywood race and will be appointing a leading marketing agency to look after her career in films and endorsements.
